The MK23 SOCOM is the latest gun released by Marui. Beautiful and an accurate replica of the original gun designed in 1991 for the U.S. Special Operations Command. This unique gun is a non-blowback pistol. That is upon firing this gun, the slide does not move and there is no recoil. The trigger action chambers the next BB. This creates a somewhat heavy trigger pull ? a great realistic feature. The gas valve is at the bottom of the magazine; fill the gun with green gas here. There is also a unique loading feature on this gun: BB?s should be loaded into a gap that appears above the spring tab when it is pulled down all the way. Another asset to this gun is the HOP-UP feature. The HOP-UP mechanism improves the precision of the BBs and offers accurate shootingThe design and composition of this gun suggest a complex and sturdy gun with lots of time and energy invested into it. The sleek black finish and the built of this gun certainly make it appear very realistic. The outer barrel is metal, allowing for a solid fit with any suppressor. The MK 23 comes with an installed LAM unit that requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). The included mock suppressor is all metal and nicely built.
