Gordon’s Story –
The first airsoft gun I saw was fortunately a good one. A friend of a friend had a Marui M4 and let me play a little with it. Well I was hooked and began talking my friends into getting them. Well, all of us did and we were ready to play, except for one LITTLE problem. That was my best friend Tracy. We had been asking, reminding, nagging, and threatening him to get one, and each time he said “Yea, I need to do that . . . “
As his best friend, I felt it was my job to motivate him. I could not let this behavior continue so I decided it was time for an ‘intervention’, of sorts. UFC night at his place was a couple of days away, so I called the 2 other guys that were going to be there and told them we had to encourage Tracy into action. I described my plan to them and after laughing and wiping the tears from our eyes we were ready (doesn’t EVERYBODY wish they had friends like US?). All that was left was to charge our batteries and fill a mag.
Fortunately for Tracy, his bathroom is at the end of a long hallway, and at that distance we knew he wouldn’t be injured when the time came.
Unfortunately for Tracy his bathroom is at the end of a long hallway, meaning absolutely no concealment or cover to be had at the time it was most desperately needed!
We hid our guns in preparation for the inevitable bathroom stop (mine being a Marui MP5 SD5), and we waited for the fights to start, and put a couple of beers into him (literally 2, he has a small bladder), and waited for nature to set our trap for us. The hardest part of the plan was not laughing out loud as we looked at each other as we waited.
As he left the room we armed ourselves, set up at the other end of the hall, again stifling hysterical laughter, and lay in wait. When the bathroom door opened up, we opened up, and watched Tracy as he yelped and danced.
No, we didn’t empty our mags on him, THAT would be cruel!
YES, we did it safely (he was wearing his glasses and had a long sleeve sweatshirt on)
Moral of the story?
Don’t be the last of your friends to have an Airsoft gun!
