Affordable Airsoft Guns
OK, so you want to start into the world of Airsoft, now comes the hard part; finding an Airsoft Gun that will stand up to the kind of use you plan on giving it and not breaking the bank in the process. Well never fear, it is not as hard as you may think. Follow our easy hints and you will be peppering your friends with plastic in no time.
First is to determine WHAT KIND of playing you plan on doing. Are you going to be a full-blown gamer playing with some ‘serious’ types, or perhaps this is something to use to occasionally shoot your friends? Once you decide on this you will have a much better idea what your budget should be, and what you should start looking for.
Second is to pick what KIND of Airsoft Gun you are looking for. Do you want an electric Airsoft gun (or Airsoft AEG) or do you like the realistic action of a gas blowback Airsoft pistol? Just about every gun you can think of has an Airsoft twin.
Things to look for in an Airsoft Rifle or Pistol are:
1. Brand name is ‘usually’ better. This means that buying an Airsoft Gun from Classic Army or Tokyo Marui will generally be a better choice than “Bob’s Airsoft”. Why? Because they have good quality and will last longer, making them a better buy even if you are spending more for them.
2. Echo 1 is an EXCELLENT choice for any newbie )or FNG, as I like to call them). They make good solid guns that have excellent durability and completely compatible/upgradable internals. This means as you grow in the sport you can add that bell or whistle at any time.
3. Make sure you know EXACTLY what comes with your sun. Some will come with a battery and charger (if an electric Airsoft gun) and some will not. A seemingly good deal turns sour when you realize you need to spend another $40 - $50 for the battery and charger.
We at DAW will be happy to help with any questions you have on “What do I need?” or “What would you suggest for . . .?” Just email us and we will answer any and all of your questions. Otherwise there is only one thing left for you to do now . . .
