In the wonderful world of Airsoft, rifles and pistols come in a number of different flavors; among them are gas guns, spring guns, and electric guns. The king of them all, however, is Electric Airsoft Guns. They have emerged as the single largest selling segment in the Airsoft arsenal, and for a number of good reasons.

First and foremost is their rate of fire over both gas and spring Airsoft guns. The latest Electric Airsoft Guns can deliver a very fast and consistent rate of fire for seemingly as long as you need it. You are only going to be limited by the amount of bb’s you can carry. For those that are REALLY trigger happy I would suggest a power magazine or C-Mag, as they carry 2,500 – 5,000 bb’s and will save you A LOT of winding!

Originally, the biggest complaints about Electric Airsoft Guns were that they were not reliable and that they were VERY expensive. Well, that WAS true, but no longer. Electric Airsoft Guns, or AEG’s as they are more commonly referred called, are now very reliable and very durable. The new Version 3 gearboxes and high torque motors provide consistent reliability over a very long time. The costs have come down significantly as well. Now that Electric Airsoft Guns are being made in China and Taiwan we are able to see guns that were once $400.00+ being offered for under $200.00.  

We believe that every Airsofter needs an Electric Airsoft Guns in their kit as it can fill a number of battle field needs (also ambushing your little brother type needs.) Even you sneaky sniper guys should have one. Nothing can surprise a sneaky flanker who thinks he has you nailed more than a pair of MP5 machine pistols coming to bear on him!
